Authorities ID patron killed while trying to stop shooting at Vegas club; 2 employees wounded

LAS VEGAS – Authorities have identified a man who was killed while trying to stop a shooting at an after-hours nightclub in a Las Vegas Strip casino.

Charging documents filed Tuesday say Kenneth Brown was the patron who died in the shooting early Monday at Drai’s After Hours inside Bally’s hotel-casino.

Brown’s mother, Norma Sattiewhite, tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal her son is 40 and recently moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles.

Police say 41-year-old Benjamin Frazier started shooting because he was upset when he didn’t get a refund of a cover charge that a casino official says was $30.

Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie says Brown jumped on the gunman after a manager and security guard were wounded, and his actions may have prevented more bloodshed.
